After revealing the next regularly scheduled Destiny 2 expansion pack, launching on September 22 , the game’s creators at Bungie used the Tuesday opportunity to describe a three-year plan for the series. On the eve of a new console generation, fans might have expected teases for a brand-new, next-gen sequel. Bungie put such questions to rest conclusively: “We don’t believe a sequel is the right direction for the game. As of press time, Bungie has only confirmed that purchases on PlayStation 4 will transfer to PS5, while purchases made for the Xbox family of consoles will support “smart delivery” to automatically transfer to XSX. And if you jump to a newer console and still have friends on the older one, you can continue matchmaking together as in, XB1 and XSX, or PS4 and PS5; Destiny 2 still does not support cross-platform play, but Bungie has finally hinted that this may change as soon as However, Bungie has not yet clarified whether cross-save progress, entitlements, and purchases will all cleanly move to next-gen consoles. How to AFK farm forges – Destiny 2
Over the years, Destiny 2 has seen a lot of content come and go from new expansion quests to other activities more for the cooperative or competitive crowd. However, one criticism that Bungie has never been able to shake is the fact that not every mode in the game comes with matchmaking capabilities. In fact, most of the more difficult activities such as Raids and Nightfall Strikes are notoriously limited to premade fireteams , forcing solo players to venture outside of the game to find other players to join.
I know this has been said before, but if we keep saying it, maybe Bungo will see it. It’s especially annoying if you’re trying to solo a strike, forge or whatever.

While the show has triggered a debate on sexism, colourism and racism, it has managed to throw the spotlight on the age-old Indian custom of arranged marriage. Over the last two decades, several Bollywood films and reality TV shows have explored the concept of arranged marriages in their own way and have done justice to the theme.
The show is about the central figure, Aneela Rahman, a Glasgow based British-Asian marriage arranger, who gets her family and friends to network together and find the perfect partner for the contestants in a four-week period. The episodes end with updates on how the matches are or not getting on.

Bungie wants to make it easier to join and play with other people in Destiny 2. Previously, clans were a complicated affair, making you log on to Bungie. During a live event today, Bungie revealed that a revamped Clan and matchmaking system will exist in the game itself. This and other new features fell like a welcome push to make the Destiny 2 experience more comfortably social.
In Destiny 2 , the matchmaking system will help avoid putting you with other people who don’t play together as a team. When you join a clan in the game now, all your matches will be with people in your same clan, even if you’re not in a party with them. If you haven’t chosen a clan yet, you will have the option to match with one.
Think of it as auditioning clans you might want to join. In addition, Bungie has created “guided games” to match single players up with others to do standing dungeon Raids and the weekly unique Nightfall Strikes. These types of events require teams of players that work together to beat them; this new feature seems aimed at making that happen even without a group of buddies. Introducing Guided Games.
How to prevent matchmaking in destiny
Welcome to the second installment of our Game In Progress review for Destiny 2. The sprawling, six-player levels are universally held as the most daring, triumphant game design in the series, odysseys of expressive architecture filled with secrets, puzzles, risks, and awe-inspiring spectacle. The stereotype of gamer toxicity has never been arguable; just look at the ease with which Pewdiepie shouted the N-word on camera recently. The history of online games has been one of rolling back social interactions.
In early Halo games, for example, you could hear every word that every other player said. Over time, this turned to selective voice chat, then opt-in voice, then carefully created emotes.

He was so much more than a painter, a television star, and a beautiful afro. He was also an very wise man. But none have been happier than a recent error that disabled skill and connection as factors when matchmaking in the Quickplay PvP playlist. But the Crucible has only felt those changes the most in the past two weeks. For some reason, Bungie made all Crucible modes four-vs-four at the start of Destiny 2.
This created a meta where teams played very passively, stuck together in close proximity, and attempted to team-shoot anyone who strayed from the path. It made every game more tense than it needed to be, and the pace of play was miserable. By definition, Quickplay is the more casual playlist where players can queue up for some quick matches. On July 17, Bungie made six-vs-six the default for Quickplay in the Crucible, and the difference was night and day—Quickplay was fun again.
That explains why it was so much fun.
Okay so how do you prevent matchmaking?
Earlier this month, Bungie changed the Forges introduced in the Black Armory expansion of Destiny 2 Year 2 so that players automatically go to orbit after completing one. We used to stay in the playlist and automatically queue up another Forge, but when players found another way to use this system to farm resources – in this case, Umbral Engrams and Power levels – by doing nothing, Bungie fixed it up.
It was a totally reasonable response on Bungie’s part since all of the AFK players were polluting the playlist for people who actually want to do Forges, but the whole situation is also indicative of a larger problem with Power levels in Destiny. On paper, my Power level determines how much damage I deal to enemies. If an enemy is 20 levels above me, I’ll deal less damage to it.

Many of my favourite moments in Destiny 2 have come whilst shooting the shit with friends. But there are also times when, as Greta Garbo noted, you just want to grind alone.
